I was at a party when I first tasted this simple, exhilarating beverage.
Squeeze a few lemons. Add ice cold water and some sugar, and set aside. Or just pop open a can of the frozen concentrate stuff and follow the directions. Either way, get your lemonade. Then in your cocktail receptacle of choice, muddle a shot (or three) of your favorite vodka, a few leaves of mint, and three or so slices of cucumber. Add ice and pour over with lemonade.
Done.
No vodka? Make a Chilled-Out Tequila Lemonade. Not down with tequila? Make it a Quenching Gin Lemonade.
Whatever you do, it’s a simple and fresh summertime refreshment for a barbecue, or just winding down in your backyard after work.
